Corrections
ParentFilter publishes text and numbers that families sent us. Sometimes they are wrong: a title typed incorrectly, the wrong release year, two different films sharing one page, or something that should never have been posted at all. This page is where that gets fixed, and where the fixes are recorded.
Reporting something
Every parent guide carries a "Report an error on this page" link in its footer. It opens an email addressed to corrections@parentfilter.app with the page's address already filled in. You can also write to that address directly — tell us which page and what is wrong.
Copyright complaints are handled separately and formally: see the DMCA page.
What happens, and how fast
One business day to act on anything a rightsholder names, and on anything that makes a page defamatory, misleading about a named person, or otherwise unsafe to leave up. Acting means the page comes down or is corrected, not that the email is acknowledged.
Everything else — a wrong year, a misspelled title, a duplicate entry — is fixed as soon as it is confirmed, usually in the same window.
A page that is taken down stays down. Its address is retired, returns a "gone" response to search engines, and is never reused for another film.
What we will not do
- We will not edit or rewrite a family's ratings. If a rating is wrong, only that family can revise it; if it is abuse rather than a rating, it is removed, not adjusted.
- We will not take a page down because a film's distributor dislikes what parents reported about it. Disagreement is content.
